IELTS exam lasts 3 hours and has 4 sections
- Reading
- Listening
- Speaking
- Writing
Each section is measured on the scale of 0-9
Reading
Reading includes 40 questions and takes 60 minutes
IELTS Academic Reading consists of 3 parts/ Each part includes a text of 650-1000 words. All texts are from books, newspapers and magazines.
Listening
40 questions, 40 minutes. All questions are ranged from easy to hard ones.
Information will be replayed only once.
Writing
2 tasks, 60 minutes.
In IELTS Academic Writing it is necessary to provide minimum 150 words of description of picture or graphic information. Then it is necessary to write a 250 words essay.
Speaking
This section takes 11-14 minutes and consists of 3 parts.
First part – student and examiner discuss general topics.
Second part – candidate needs to prepare 1-2 minutes monologue.
Third part – answer examiners questions related to monologue.
All student-examiner communication is recorded.
IELTS exam results are valid for 2 years.
