‘Always ask yourself: ‘how?’ and ‘why?’. This is my message to students, which describes my overall style of teaching. It is easy to memorize something, while it is much harder to come to full understanding. I always engage students in discussions and ask them to express their ideas. Teaching Economics and Business, I always explain how systems work and what the strengths and weaknesses of the certain methods are, making students think critically. There is often no right or wrong answer, therefore my teaching focuses on evaluation and judgment, as well as application of knowledge to specific real life cases.

I usually give a lot of homework, and do not tolerate, when students come unprepared, as I am sure that well-prepared homework leaves more time for class discussion and allows to focus on something, which is really complex or unclear.

I am open to questions and believe that answering them in a clear and coherent manner is one on the key contributing factors, leading to students’ success, both in exams and in real life.’
